Unbelief has consequences. Infidels are forced to recant, ostracized by the larger community, often denied their basic rights, threatened by economic sanctions, bombed, invaded, beaten, tortured, violated and killed. Apostates share similar fate.

On the other hand, belief is more than subscribing to a set of creeds and confessions and doctrines. It’s more than adhering to a form of behaviour or way of life.

Belief is

allowing Jesus to be the centre

tuning to God’s voice despite resistance from within

staying faithful to God in the wilderness

trusting

sharing

surrendering

and more.
